WHAT IS THERE TO DO?

DOG WALKING

Without a doubt walking dogs is the most popular reason for people to come here from across the village - you can easily walk here from most of the village and you don't need a car.  Dogs are well protected from the roads and many are 'off the lead' for most of their walks.

Some visiting dogs seem to have forgotten to remind their owners to 'pick-up' afterwards - there is a dedicated bin near the bus stop at the roundabout!  Can you remember how it feels to step in 'it' just while you're enjoying yourself and doing something else - think how a child playing with a kite might think!

NATURE TRAILS

There have been nature trails laid out for kids to go and discover plants and the wildlife - click HERE for more information.

FLY KITES etc.

Because of the position and the general wind direction, it is possible to fly a kite near the middle of the meadow - nice and safe - you can have quite long lines and get the kite really high!

ENJOY THE COUNTRYSIDE

In a general walk around the meadow, you will probably become aware of the abundance of wildlife that is around, you may also hear and perhaps see the buzzards - up to 5 at a time are regularly spotted.

A further walk is out the West end of the Meadow and into fields around the cemetery where you can have a grand view across most of the village.  A walk around this route is just over a mile!
